How to do it

Script to 3D animation in four steps.

Write it like a screenplay. Frameo shoots it like a crew: scene by scene, look by look.

Start from my script
  1. Paste your script

Paste it and mark each scene heading: INT. or EXT., the place, the time. Frameo reads each heading as where one shot ends and the next begins.

  2. Pick a 3D look and cast

Choose clay, stylized, low-poly, toy or realistic CGI. Design each character once, so they stay the same in every scene.

  3. Generate each scene

Frameo turns each scene into shots. It reads camera moves from your action lines, such as a push in or a slow pan.

  4. Add voice, score and export

Add voices from the dialogue and music under it. Then cut, caption and export.

One 3D short, start to finish

From a one-page script to a 45-second 3D short.

The four steps above, applied to a single piece: one page of script, three scene headings, one finished film.

  1. Script

    Frameo composer

A single page with three scene headings, written in the composer. Each heading marks where a shot begins.

Character turnaround model sheet: four consistent full-body views of one small clay-style red fox courier, front, three-quarter, side and back, rounded body, cream chest, brown leather satchel, matte
  2. Character sheet

    Nano Banana 2

The cast is built once with the Create characters and other assets skill, so every scene draws on the same references.

  3. Shots

    Kling 3.0 Turbo

Each scene is laid out with Grid Storyboard, then animated by a video model, with camera moves read from the action lines.

  4. Voice and sound

    AI voice generator

Dialogue is voiced from the script with the AI voice generator, and music is laid under it.

  5. Final cut

    Script to Video

The scenes are assembled with Script to Video, subtitles are added and the film is exported.

Script to shot

Every scene heading becomes a shot.

1 INT. HALLWAY – 3 AM

MILO, an orange tabby, bolts down the dark hall, paws skidding on the boards. Handheld, following.

2 INT. HALLWAY – CONTINUOUS

Milo skids toward us, eyes wild, tail puffed. Low angle.

3 INT. KITCHEN – NIGHT

SOOT, a black cat, springs onto the fridge in slow motion.

SOOT (V.O.)

Too slow, Milo.

What to write for good 3D shots

  • Who is in frame: name the character and what they look like
  • Where they are: the place and the time of day
  • What moves: the action and the camera
  • How long the shot runs: a beat or a few seconds

Choose your 3D animation style

One scene, five 3D looks.

The look is a choice you make in step two. The script stays the same.

Script to 3D animation questions

Any script you can split into scenes works. For films over five minutes, use the Longform Video skill: it generates your assets first, then the film.

Yes, when you design them once as references with the Create characters and other assets skill. Every shot draws on that same cast, so faces and costumes do not drift between scenes.

You pick a voice for each character, and Frameo voices the lines from your script. You can change a voice or a line before you export.

Try the voice generator

Export in 16:9 or 9:16, and switch later with Video Aspect Reframe. The length follows your script, and the exact cost of a render is shown before you start it.
